The eyebolt attaches to the top portion of the rear stake pocket (nut included). The bracket attaches to the eyebolt and keeps the assembly in place when closed. The bumper pad keeps the bracket from scraping the tailgate. When tailgate is closed, the hook goes through the latch bracket to keep the chain latched. Polished stainless chains are very shiny, giving them a "chrome" look. Sold as a pair.
